Постановою Верховної Ради України «Про встановлення Дня українського добровольця» №1822-VIII від 17.01.2017р. постановлено щорічно відзначати День українського добровольця 14 березня, а також доручено Кабінету Міністрів України розробити ряд заходів для відзначення цього свята на державному рівні.Метою проведення цих заходів є вшанування героїзму добровольців, які із самого початку беруть активну участь в Російсько-українській визвольній війні.
14 березня – День Українського Добровольця. Саме в ці березневі дні чотири роки тому хлопців з Майдану почали формуватись добровольчі батальйони. Із браком досвіду, лише легким озброєнням, відсутністю координації і комунікацій, проте НЕЗЛАМНОЮ СИЛОЮ УКРАЇНСЬКОГО ДУХУ, добровольці зуміли здивувати увесь світ, гарно давши по пиці російським зайдам.
