Служба безпеки України встановила персональні дані всіх учасників терористичної групи, які 26 травня 2018 року здійснили артилерійський обстріл позицій операції Об’єднаних сил на Луганщині. Під час ворожої атаки загинули двоє співробітників Центру спеціальних операцій «А» СБУ – полковник Руслан Муляр і прапорщик Юрій Журавльов. Ще двоє спецпризначенців зазнали поранень.
За даними української контррозвідки, групу терористів так званого «3 мотострілецького батальйону 4 ОМСБр Народної міліції ЛНР» очолював уродженець РФ на прізвисько «Шумер». У його підпорядкуванні перебували троє учасників незаконних збройних формувань. Для атаки на позиції операції Об’єднаних сил в районі Бахмутської траси бойовики застосували артилерійське озброєння.
Також встановлено причетність даної терористичної групи до обстрілу підрозділів Збройних Сил України в Новоайдарському і Слов’яносербському районах Луганської області.
У межах відкритого кримінального провадження ватажку групи та його підлеглим повідомлено про підозру у вчинені злочинів, передбачених ч. 3 ст. 258 (терористичний акт) та ч. 1 ст. 258-3 (участь у терористичній організації) Кримінального кодексу України.
Судом надано дозвіл на затримання фігурантів. Зловмисників оголошено у розшук.
Терористам загрожує до 15 років позбавлення волі або довічне ув’язнення.
Заходи з викриття учасників терористичної групи проводились під процесуальним керівництвом прокуратури Луганської області.
